Fool Me Once…

Well, looks like I got fooled twice, so shame on me. When am I ever gonna learn?

On Monday night, Josh said he’d call me on Tuesday and we’d get together on Wednesday. I haven’t heard a peep from him since. What a waste of a perfectly good night. Not that I would have done much of anything tonight anyway, but it would have been nice to know in advance that I’d be getting stood up.

Regardless, thank you all for the advice and kind words you’ve given me over the last few days. It is much appreciated. And now, excuse me while I pack my bags for the convent…

    As a former 22-year old….

Don’t waste your time with him. Regardless of the perks he may offer. Minneapolis sounds darned fine….

Unfortunately, such is the unlucky jinx of too much real life details online. I usually find myself jinxed in similar ways if the ‘rents ask how I’m doing and I reveal that I went on a date. For me, it’s the kiss of potential relationship death. My new policy is that they’ll get to know of said gal after mutual exclusivity is established and they’ll get to meet her when we’ve reached the point in our relationship that bathroom doors need not be closed. otherwise, it would be eyeing her out for marriage and grandchildren potential, and frankly, that’s too much. I take the same approach to blogging potential dates on the web. All the same, hopefully, your HNT is better than this dull Wednesday. Have a better 1.

Well, he’s 22….he may not be used to the actual work one has to put into an adult relationship…

and by adult I mean the give and take of one…not just the boom-chica-wow-wow parts.
