The Lunch Break Blues

Only a few more hours until my weekend will begin! I’m currently on my lunch break, and believe me, I don’t want it to end. This week has been a rough one!

Mellow Down Easy, a band from Nashville, is playing at The Prince tonight, and I was planning on going. I know the guys, and they’re great musicians. Their shows absolutely rock. I’m exhausted though, so I may skip the show. I feel bad, because I know they will look for me. I’m a huge supporter of local music, and I have several bands that can always count on me to be there. Not to mention, I have no one to go with, and I don’t feel like having a big LOSER stamped across my forehead tonight. I usually invite all the MySpacers out, and there are usually quite a few who decide to join me, but I haven’t even mentioned the show to them. I think I’ll just take this opportunity to park my arse on my couch and watch movies.

I got season tickets to the Clarence Brown Theatre, and the season is now beginning. They are putting on 6 productions this season, and I can’t wait to see them all! The first play I’ll see is Arsenic and Old Lace. I’ll be seeing it tomorrow night with my brother. Yep, my brother – one of the only guys I can count on!

I’m really starting to see some definition in my arms, shoulders, and legs. Guess my workouts are working! Yay! I can’t wait to finally get in better shape. Bring on the guys when I do! But then again, I’d probably reject them anyway. If guys are unable to appreciate me the way I am now, I don’t want them when I’m in better shape. God, please let there be a guy somewhere out there for me! I’m tired of this boring single life.

Okay, back to work for me. I hope you all have a great day!

Great blog you’ve started here. I came across it from Andi’s. As for the Loser stamp, trust me, I’ve gotten it where I’m living now. I’ve wanted to catch some bands live over in Columbus, but everytime I start asking who wants to go, people just stare at me like I’m crazy because the band I’m wanting to see isn’t on the “Power” stations around here.

    Great legs by the way!!

Sometimes you just have to bite the bullet and do it alone. Who knows, maybe there are other people there to join in the festivities later. Besides, if you get there when the music plays and you’re on the dance floor, crushed against the stage (depending on the show that you’re seeing), nobody will notice and you can chat and mingle with people between bands.

It’s not how fit you are… it’s your willingness to put out.
