A Message for My Soulmate

I have long been fascinated by the possibility that soulmates exist. I like to think that they do, because it leaves open the possibility that I will one day encounter the man who will be able to make me whole again. Without this kind of hope, life would meaningless.

What exactly is a soulmate? I guess that’s a question that should be left for each person to answer for himself. But here is what the word “soulmate” means to me. When soulmates meet, it’s like a cosmic explosion - two worlds colliding and only two people remaining in the midst. They look into each other’s eyes and see their pasts, presents, and futures. And they are one. It’s a feeling of love at first sight, but it’s not really a first sight, for their souls have been intimate for a millennia. They know the worst things about each other, but none of it matters. When soulmates meet, life becomes almost a fairytale for them. Each day is an adventure just waiting to unfold.

My soulmate is out there. Somewhere. Looking for me. Waiting for me. Stay patient, my love. We will be together when the time is right. And I will hold you in my loving arms until the end of time.

What a beautiful post, I love it. But remember that you don’t need to have anyone else make you whole, you’re an amazing, wonderful person as it is. When you meet that special person, he’ll surely make you feel happier than you’ve ever felt before, but I’ve always thought that people are already whole and complete as they are. Then again, maybe we just -feel- complete until we meet that person and -then- we realize that we’ve been incomplete this whole time? It’s much too confusing to think about :D
I really love reading your blog.
