I think my personal ad is becoming a permanent fixture on Yahoo! Personals and Match.com. Yep, it’s back up again folks! After many unfruitful conversations and a few unsuccessful meetings, I’m trying it once more! My friends ask me why I bother with the online dating scene, and sometimes I ask myself the same question. The truth is that I can really be myself online. I can open up and say things that I might not be as quick to express in a different setting. I like to think that other people act in much the same way. I also find it nice to be able to sit in the comfort of my own home and get to know a guy without the pressure and discomfort often associated with a first date. The awkward silences, the nervousness, the fleeting thoughts of “What does he think of me?” - these are the things that ulcers are made of! In order to keep my stress level at a minimum, I choose to sit here at my computer and chat with random men in hopes that my knight in shining armor will gallop onto my screen and sweep me off my feet. I think I’m more likely to end up with some kid computer geek who attempts to hack into my heart, but hey, a girl can dream, can’t she?!
